The research team of the Department of Architectural Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava under prof. Petr Hájek examines the limits of virtual reality not only in the place of architecture, but also in its interdisciplinary overlaps.
Kristína Rypáková is a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava and also a practitioner architect. Within her doctoral studies she pursues the copyright research with the “non/mathematical prototypes and typology” theme. She is testing the area of architecture and virtual reality in positions of the copyright / mathematical structures and objects, which can put many questions: What does the mathematization of architecture mean? What is mathematized and how? How and in which ways does the form rise? What remains outside the process of mathematization and becomes unmathematized?
